Welcome to the Exhibits and Collections of the New England Museum of Firefighting

Working Collection

The Museum maintains one of the largest working collections of motor fire apparatus of any fire museum.  These apparatus are fully equipped and operational.  Although they no longer fight fires, the Museum’s working collection are ambassadors of the Museum and “respond” to musters, parades and other events

Historical Collection

Amazing History

The Museum’s Collection includes examples of motor fire apparatus from New England that spans the 20 th Century. The Museum maintains one of the largest working collections of motor fire apparatus of any fire museum. The Museum’s collection of motor fire apparatus includes the largest collection of aerial ladder trucks of any museum in North America.  This consists of five ladder trucks, of which two are tractor-drawn aerial ladder trucks.
